Academic Conference on Turkey-EU relations
The conference is a joint cooperation between the recently formed Turkish Institute (The Hague) and the Centre for European Security Studies. The aim of this conference will be to identify and discuss political issues that complicate the accession of Turkey to the European Union. The obstacles that will be addressed during this conference are broad historical and political trends and paths that may explain the current fatigue in the Union and Turkey instead of specific acquis stipulations. After addressing these broad socio-political matters, the participants will offer solutions to transform the current fatigue into a positive attitude and come up with ideas for changes.
